Attorney Faculty

CSUB has been fortunate to have attoneys teach in our prelaw programs, especially for the prelaw emphasis in Political Science.  For example, Kern County prosecutor Wendy Avila has taught Judicial Behavior, Civil Rights & Civil Liberties, and Introduction to Legal Reasoning.  Her offerings have typically been one a year in the evening.  She has also been a strong advocate for students applying to law school and has been generous in her advice for students considering applying to law school.  Most recently, Immigration Attorney Edyta Grant has taught Immigration Law & Policy Spring 2014 and hopefully will do so again Winter 2015.  From her education and professional activities, Ms. Grant brings a rich background to her course, including European immigration policy and the related area of refugee policy and politics.  She also brings to the class up-to-date knowledge of Immigration & Customs Enforcement, which is housed within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  See her attached resume.

Attorneys and judges also teach for other Schools & departments at CSUB.  This is true especially for Criminal Justice and Business & Public Administration.
